Description:

Textquencer is a text-based MIDI sequencer that assigns each letter of the alphabet to a corresponding note in the selected scale.

For instance, in the C-major scale:
<ul>
 <li>Letter A (index = 1) corresponds to Note C (the first note in the scale)</li>
 <li>Letter B (index = 2) corresponds to Note D (the second note in the scale)</li>
 <li>Letter C (index = 3) corresponds to Note E (the third note in the scale)</li>
 <li>Letter H (index = 8) corresponds to Note C one octave higher</li>
</ul>

Custom character mapping allows users to assign emojis, punctuation, symbols, or characters from any language to specific MIDI notes or notes within the scale.

If a character is not custom-mapped, any English alphabet letter or number will be treated as a rest in the sequencer. Additionally, users can introduce randomness by adjusting velocity and gate lengths for each step within a specified range, accessible through the settings menu.

It's important to highlight that Textquencer operates as a MIDI app. The standalone version may offer an internal synthesizer, which can be enabled or disabled via the settings menu. For AUv3 plugin functionality, integration with audio apps such as AUM, Loopy Pro, Cubasis, Logic Pro, Nanostudio, Drambo, or apeMatrix is required for audio output.
